
Nailers Shutout Stingrays 1-0 on Autism Awareness Night

North Charleston, SC -South Carolina Stingrays (6-8-1-0) fell to the Wheeling Nailers (8-8-0-0) 1-0 at the North Charleston Coliseum Sunday afternoon.
After the two sides skated a scoreless 40 minutes of play, Nailers defenseman David Urquhart broke free and netted a shorthanded marker at 1:44 of the third period beating Stingrays goaltender Jared DeMichiel under the left arm. Forward Hunter Bishop earned the only assist. DeMichiel suffered the loss stopping 32 of 33 Nailers shots.
Nailers goaltender Patrick Killeen recorded his second shutout of the season stopping all 22 Stingrays chances. The Nailers ended the afternoon 0-for-2 on the power play while the Stingrays finished 0-for-4.
The Stingrays travel to The Arena at Gwinnett Center to battle the Gladiators on Tuesday, November 23 at 7:05 p.m. before returning home to celebrate Thanksgiving against the Gladiators on Friday, November 26 at 7:05 p.m. at the North Charleston Coliseum.
