Nailers Average Attendance Eclipses 3,000 For The Second Straight Month

WHEELING, W.Va. - Attendance numbers for the month of March were released by the Wheeling Nailers on Monday. An average of 3,031 fans attended seven Nailers home games this month, making March the second straight month in which the Nailers averaged over 3,000 fans per game.

The Nailers have had four straight weekends of 3,000 or more fans per game dating back to Jan. 31. This past weekend a total of 10,049 tickets were purchased for a weekend average of 3,350.

Fans recently enjoyed a full weekend of promotions that included Buy One Get One Free Night on Friday, which was good on tickets, pretzels, hotdogs and popcorn.

On Saturday March 21st, the first 2,500 fans received a free B.E. Taylor bobble head and everyone was welcome to a free concert by Taylor following the game.

Sunday was Pups N Pucks , where fans were permitted to bring their dogs to the game free of charge. In addition, Sunday was Sunday Family Funday, where families had the opportunity to skate with the Nailers following the game.

The Nailers hit the road for three straight games against Elmira this coming weekend. Just two regular season home games remain on the Nailers schedule - Wednesday, April 1 v. Trenton (7:05 p.m.) and Friday, April 3 v. Dayton (7:35 p.m.). Don't miss this opportunity to see the Nailers on home ice this season. The Nailers are also still in prime position for one of the North Division's four playoff spots. The Nailers are currently deadlocked in a 3-way tie for second place in the division with 76 points.
