The Week That Was...

The South Carolina Stingrays looked to clinch a playoff spot this week as they took on the Mississippi Sea Wolves three times in three days

On Friday Night, James Reimer stopped 29 shots and recorded his second shut-out in as many games as the Stingrays won 3-0. Newcomer Mick Berge recorded his first professional goal and Travis Morin added his 21st and 22nd goals of the season.

Saturday night, Keith Johnson scored a pair of goals and Mick Berge added his second goal, this time a game-winner in overtime, as the Stingrays won 3-2. Reimer stopped 30 shots in the victory tonight.

On Sunday, Jonathan Boutin was in net for the Rays and stopped 26 shots as the Rays won 4-2. Matt Scherer tallied two goals in the game, including the game-winner.

Maxime Lacroix is 7th in points among rookies (58), fourth in goals (31) and power play goals (12), and 2nd in shots (221).

It's the last regular season game for your South Carolina Stingrays as they host the Mississippi Sea Wolves a final time. It's Fan Appreciation Night at the Rays game with the 2008-09 Team Photo Giveaway. Make sure to stay after the game as the entire team will be up on the concourse signing autographs.
