Wheeling Nailers News Release
WHEELING, WV - The Wheeling Nailers, proud ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins, are pleased to announce that thanks to the fantastic support of their generous sponsors, as well as the stations themselves, playoff road games will be televised.
Wheeling opens the 2016 Kelly Cup Playoffs on Friday night with a 7:30 game against the Florida Everblades at Germain Arena. Fans will be able to catch that game on WLUTV-14. Game two will take place in Estero on Saturday night at 7:00, and television coverage for that contest shifts to My Ohio Valley, courtesy of WTRF-7.
Games three, four, and five (if necessary) will all be played at WesBanco Arena on April 20th, 22nd, and 23rd (if necessary). Those games will be available through radio only on 97.3 WKWK-FM. All postseason games will be able to be heard live on The Mix.
If necessary, the series will conclude with games six and seven in the Sunshine State on April 25th and 27th. Both tilts will be aired on WLUTV-14.
The Nailers would like to thank Bordas and Bordas, DeNoon Lumber, Project BEST, Northwood Health Systems, Ohio Valley Medical Center & East Ohio Regional Hospital, Main Street Bank, Paull Associates, Oglebay Park & Resort, and the McLure Hotel.
In addition, for those fans looking for a fun atmosphere, local restaurants TJ's Sports Garden Restaurant, River City Ale Works, and DiCarlo's Pizza (Downtown Wheeling & Dallas Pike) will be televising the games.
As was the case during the regular season, the games will be broadcast on radio and television by Nailers Broadcaster DJ Abisalih.
