Mystics Release 2006 Schedule

Washington Mystics News Release
Washington, D.C. - Today the Washington Mystics release its 2006 WNBA regular season schedule. The Mystics will open its season at home against longtime rival New York Liberty on Tuesday, May 23rd at 7:00 p.m. Washington will also welcome the league's newest team, the Chicago Sky, on Sunday, July 9th. The team's annual camp day game for local children's day camps and groups will be on Wednesday, July 19th at 11:30 a.m. and will feature the top two picks of the 2004 draft when the Mystics and Alana Beard host Diana Taurasi and the Phoenix Mercury.
"We are excited to get the season under way," said Mystics Chief Operating Officer Curtis Symonds. "The talent showcased in the WNBA is terrific and we look forward to having the fans come and catch the magic that is the Washington Mystics."
The Mystics will be featured on national television three times with games to be played against the Charlotte Sting and Eastern Conference Champions Connecticut Sun on ESPN2. Washington will be on ABC against the New York Liberty for the last game of the regular season.
