Anda Ramat Hasharon advanced to the Eigth-Finals by virtue of their two-game sweep of BSE EMA Budapest in the Sixteenth-Final - a series which ended on December 14 with a 74-68 Anda win following a 90-65 victory in the series-opener. Cheryl Ford posted her sixth double-double in eight EuroCup games scoring 20 points and grabbing 15 rebounds on the night. Nolan added a team-high 23 points and picked up three steals in the win, while former Shock forward Petra Ujhelyi posted a 14-point, 10 rebound double-double for Anda.
Washington Mystics center Kaayla Chones scored nine points and grabbed seven rebounds for BSE ESMA in the loss.
EuroCup competition takes a break for the holidays until January 12 when Anda begins a two-game set with Lavezzini Parma who are led by Minnesota Lynx guard Chandi Jones. Jones is averaging 15.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists in EuroCup competition this season.

Two more Israeli League wins have set Ford and Nolan up to run away with the regular season trophy. Anda improved to 10-0 with an 87-70 win over Maccabi Tel Kabir on December 16 and a 70-64 win over Raanana Hertzliya on December 19.
Ford scored 22 points and grabbed seven rebounds in the win over Maccabi Tel Kabir, while Nolan added 15 points and eight boards and Ujhelyi chipped in with 13 points and eight rebounds. Former Los Angeles and Houston forward Octavia Blue scored 10 points and grabbed four rebounds in the loss.
Against Raanana Hertzilya, Ford notched yet another double-double with 19 points and 16 rebounds while adding four steals in the win. Nolan missed her own double-double by two rebounds with 16 points and eight boards, while Ujhelyi scored two points, grabbed four rebounds and handed out three assists.
Former Sparks forward/center Monique Coker scored 26 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and picked up three steals for Raanana Hertzilya. Liberty guard/forward Shameka Christon scored 12 points and grabbed three boards and former New York guard K.B. Sharp notched four points and one rebound.
The Israeli League breaks for the holidays and Anda returns to action on January 9 against Maccabi Ramat Hen (6-4).
Plenette Pierson and Coconuda Maddaloni topped Germany's TSV 1880 Wasserburg in their two-game series to advance to the Eighth Finals. After winning the first game of the series 89-60, Coconuda dropped game two 59-57, but they advanced to the next round since they outscored TSV Wasserburg in the series.
Pierson scored 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds in the two-point loss, while former Houston and Detroit forward Wanda Guyton scored six points and grabbed 11 rebounds for TSV Wasserburg.
Coconuda begins its Eighth-Finals series vs. MBK Ruzomberok on January 11 with game two scheduled for January 19. Former Cleveland Rockers center Jennifer Butler averages 11.6 points and 10.4 rebounds in EuroCup play for MBK Ruzomberok.

Coconuda (9-4) pulled to within a game of Italian League leading Germano Zama Faenza with a 62-48 win over Umana Venezia on December 18. Pierson played just 13 minutes in the win, scoring eight pointsand grabbing five rebounds. Former Detroit guard Begona Garcia scored two points, grabbed five rebounds and handed out three assists in the loss.
Pierson's next Italian League game is scheduled for Thursday, December 22 against Stem Marine Parma (7-6).

Ruth Riley and Yaya Maria Porta XI fell back to .500 with a 78-62 loss to Universitat de Barcelona - D.C. Barcelona. Riley posted a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds in the loss, while former Houston forward Catarina Pollini scored 11 points and grabbed six rebounds.
Former Washington guard Helen Luz scored 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds for Universitat de Barcelona - F.C. Barcelona, and former Sparks center Erika DeSouza added a 12-point, 12-rebounds double-double.
Riley's next Spanish League game is Wednesday, December 21 vs. Acis Incosa Leon.
Kara Braxton and TS Wis"a Can-Pack Kraków dropped to 2-6 on the year in EuroLeague Women play with a 57-55 loss to USVO. Braxton was limited to just nine minutes of action, scoring four points and grabbing three rebounds. Mercury guard Anna DeForge scored 15 points and grabbed five rebounds.
Indiana's Kelly Miller scored nine points, grabbed three rebounds and handed out three assists in the win for USVO while Minnesota's Kristi Harrower had nine points, four rebounds and four steals and former Mercury center Slobodanka Tuvic added seven points and two boards.
Wis"a Can-Pack's next EuroLeague match is January 11vs. Lietuvos Telekomas.
