Myrtle Beach to Make up Postponement with Doubleheader on June 2 in Salem

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - The Myrtle Beach Pelicans will make up their May 1 rainout with a doubleheader beginning at 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 2 at the Salem Red Sox's LewisGale Field.
Both contests of the twin bill will be seven innings. The remainder of the series will be played as scheduled, beginning at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 1, before concluding at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 3.
Even though the Birds were scheduled to play the Red Sox at home to complete a three-game set on May 1, Myrtle Beach does not host Salem for the remainder of the first half of the season. Therefore, with their series in Salem representing the only other set in the first half of the season between the clubs, the Pelicans will play an extra road game.
