Salem RidgeYaks News Release

SALEM, Va. - After being rained out in the series finale at Myrtle Beach last week, the Salem Red Sox and Myrtle Beach Pelicans will now play a doubleheader at LewisGale Field on Thursday, June 2.

First pitch in the twin bill is scheduled for 5 pm. Both contests will be seven innings with the originally scheduled game taking place before the makeup. The remainder of the series will remain as scheduled, opening at 11 am on Wednesday, June 1 and concluding at 7 pm on Friday, June 3.

Fans who have already purchased tickets to the June 2 game will now receive admission to both ends of the doubleheader. Additionally, for those that have yet to purchase tickets, one ticket will be good for both games of the doubleheader.

The Red Sox inherit an extra home game because Salem does not return to Myrtle Beach in the first half and the series in Salem represents the only remaining matchup before the All Star Break. Thus, the Red Sox will enjoy the benefit of one additional home game in the first half of the season.
