Billings Mustangs News Release

BILLINGS, Montana - The Billings Mustangs (4-1, 19-24) won their sixth game of their last seven with a 7-2 victory over the Great Falls Voyagers (1-4, 23-20) Monday night at Dehler Park.

It would, for the second straight day, require overcoming an early deficit as the Voyagers took the first lead of the night in the top of the second. Micah Coffey flew a lead-off double to left and scored two batters later on Jhoandro Alfaro's RBI single. Alfaro went 2-for-4 in the game.

That would be the only run surrendered by Adrian Rodriguez (1-0) in his first start with the Mustangs in over two years. Rodriguez tied his career-high with six innings of work, giving up just one run on eight hits and striking out five to earn the win.

The Mustangs immediately overcame the 1-0 deficit with three runs on four hits in the bottom of the second off Jon Stiever (0-1). Dylan Harris led off the inning with a single and scored after Drew Mount's double and an error. Zeke White later doubled in Urwin Juaquin for the final run of the second.

That 3-1 advantage was extended in the fourth on Mariel Bautista's two-RBI double, one of his three hits on the night. The Mustangs matched their season-high for team hits in a game at 16; a high just set on Sunday against the Missoula Osprey. They have now smashed 32 hits in their last 16 innings at the plate.

Two more runs came in for the Mustangs in the seventh on RBI singles from Juaquin and White. Zeek White finished Monday 3-for-5 with a double, a run and two RBI. He is now on a team-high eight-game hitting streak.

Dylan Harris recorded his second four-hit game of the season, going 4-for-5 with two runs scored to raise his batting average to a team-best .354 this year.

The Mustangs are now 4-1 in this homestand and have won six of their last seven games. They look to sweep the Voyagers in the two-game series finale Tuesday night at Dehler Park. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.
