
Chukars Rout Owlz 7-1

OREM - The Owlz surrendered four runs in the final inning in their 7-1 loss to the Chukars on Monday night.
Both the Chukars and the Owlz got off to solid starts at the mound. Cristopher Molina surrendered the first run of the game in the top of the fourth when the Chukars' Angel Medina singled on a ground ball.
Medina and Nick Hutchins scored off a single from Hunter Strong on the following play to give the Chukars a 3-0 lead to end the bottom of the fourth.
The Owlz relieved Molina with Ben Morrison after five innings at the mound. Molina recorded six strikeouts, four hits and three earned runs in the game.
Orem continued to trail 3-0 until they finally broke through in the top of the sixth. Tim Millard singled on a line drive to left field to score Livan Soto bringing the Chukars' lead to 3-1.
The Chukars scored four runs in the final inning. Tyler James hit an RBI single and Reed Rohlman hit a three-run double. Orem never scored again after the sixth inning.
Orem will play Idaho Falls again tomorrow at 7:05 p.m. at the Home of the Owlz.
