July 31, 2018 - Pioneer League (PL)
Helena Brewers News Release

Helena, MT - The Brewers on Monday night at Kindrick Legion Field fell in a five run hole early to Missoula, but came back to tie the game with a five run sixth. However, the Osprey scored three in the seventh and fourth in the eighth to cruise to a 14-7 victory over the Brewers. Helena has now lost four straight home games for the first time all season.

Missoula got the scoring started in the second as Zach Shannon blasted a solo homer to dead away center field. Helena quickly countered in the bottom of the second with a solo blast of their own, courtesy of LG Castillo.

The Osprey though busted the game open initially in the third, as all nine men came to the plate with five runs scoring. Eddie Hernandez, Buddy Kennedy, and Nick Dalesandro each had RBIs, while Zac Almond drove home two with a double.

Helena got a run back in the fourth on a Pablo Abreu solo homer, but gave it right back in the fifth as Almond left the yard to deep right center, his eighth of the year.

The Brewers furious comeback came in the sixth, as they sent all nine to the plate, scoring five to tie the game. Je'Von Ward started the scoring with a 2 RBI double, and Abreu and Jose Sibrian doubled home runs to make it a one run ballgame. Sibrian would score on a wild pitch with Yeison Coca up, tying the game at seven.

Helena's tie would be short lived, as three straight Osprey singles gave them the lead back in the top of the seventh against Tate Budnick (L, 0-1). Two more in the frame scored on a sac fly from Shannon and an error on a Dalesandro ground ball.

Missoula then busted the game open with a four run eighth, highlighted by another two RBI double from Zac Almond. Almond finished the night 3 for 5 with five RBI, marking the second time this season he's driven home five in a game.

Helena finishes up the quick two game series tomorrow at 7:05 PM as Wilfred Salaman takes the hill. Righty Andy Toelken goes for Missoula, making his second start of the year. Tickets are still available by visiting the ticketing page of helenabrewers.net.
