Sioux City, Ia. - Walker Duehr scored twice, but the Tri-City Storm surrendered two goals in the final 47 seconds of the third, allowing the Sioux City Musketeers to force overtime and win in the fifth round of the shootout, 4-3, Saturday at the Tyson Events Center.

Duehr's effort, his second multi-goal game of the season, culminated with a power-play marker with 1:03 left that put Tri-City in the lead, 3-1.

Sixteen seconds after Duehr's goal, Sioux City's Trey Dodd scored his second of the game. Josh Wilkins tallied 23 seconds later to tie.

Alex Steeves beat Dayton Rasmussen in the fifth round of the shootout for the game winner. The Storm's Brandon Duhaime and Carson Meyer scored in the skills competition.

The first 53 minutes of the game featured back-and-forth action and a 1-1 tie. Duehr broke the tie, scoring his first goal on a right-circle snipe from Jake Wahlin with 6:14 left in regulation.

With Rasmussen facing a bevy of late-game chances, Sioux City took a penalty that allowed Duehr to score his second goal, eventually stuffing from the left post. Tri-City went 1-for-2 on the man up.

After the Musketeers tied, the Storm attempted five shots in overtime to finish with a game total of 31. Cam Gornet made 28 saves and won.

Carson Meyer scored in the third round of the skills competition to keep the shootout alive.

Before the wild final minutes of the third, overtime and the shootout, the game took on a calmer pace.

During a penalty-less first frame, the Musketeers outshot the Storm, 15-4.

In the second, the action ramped up and the Storm's Max Humitz struck first. Driving the left wing, Humitz knocked a pass to the left post and it was inadvertently kicked in by a Musketeers defender at the 3:45 mark. Brian Hawkinson took his third assist of the season and Jason Krych received the secondary helper.

As the Storm drew closer to gaining an insurance goal, an unfortunate bounce resulted in Sioux City's tying goal. At 8:51 of the middle period, the puck was stuck on the back of the net. Jarred loose by Storm defense, Trey Dodd found the puck at the left post and backhanded it by Rasmussen.

Rasmussen stopped the first 23 shots he faced in the midst of Sioux City taking a 25-7 shot edge halfway through the game.
