Mrazek Reassigned to Toledo

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Detroit Red Wings on Saturday reassigned goaltender Petr Mrazek from the Grand Rapids Griffins to the ECHL's Toledo Walleye.

Mrazek, 20, played in 50 games for the OHL's Ottawa 67s in 2011-12, sporting a 30-13-6 record, a 2.84 goals against average and three shutouts. The native of Ostrava, Czech Republic, is expected to play for Toledo tonight as the Walleye host the Kalamazoo Wings at 9 p.m., immediately following an AHL preseason contest between the Griffins and Lake Erie Monsters at 6 p.m. at the Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio.

The Griffins will wrap up the preseason tomorrow with a rematch against the Monsters at 7 p.m. at Yost Ice Arena in Ann Arbor, Mich. The puck drops on the 2012-13 season on Friday when the Griffins host the Milwaukee Admirals at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at griffinshockey.com.
