
Admirals Lose to Wolves in Pre-Season Finale

Milwaukee, WI-The Milwaukee Admirals concluded their pre-season slate with a 3-1 loss to the Chicago Wolves on Saturday night at the Kern Center on the campus of the Milwaukee School of Engineering.
Ben Ryan scored the lone goal for the Ads, who will begin the regular season next Friday, October 12 when the travel to Grand Rapids to battle the Griffins.
Neither team was able to score during the first period, as the Admirals outshot the Wolves 9-7.
In the second period the Admirals again out shot Chicago (10-9), but it was the Wolves who were able to light the lamp. Former Admiral Mark Matheson tallied first at 8:13 and then just 1:33 later Justin Schroeder made it 2-0 Wolves. Schroeder would add another on a wrister from the right point at 16:24 to stake Chicago to a 3-0 lead through 40 minutes.
The Admirals finally got on the board early in the third period when Ben Ryan jumped on a loose puck in front of the Chicago crease and jammed it by Wolves goalie Eddie Lack. Jack MacLellan and Andre Bouvet-Morrisette picked up the assists on the play.
Magnus Hellberg made the start for the Admirals and stopped 10 of 12 shots he faced, while Jeremy Smith came on half-way through the game and made five saves on six shots.
The Admirals kick off the 2012-13 regular season on the road against the Grand Rapids Griffins on Friday, October 12 before commencing the home portion of the schedule on Friday, October 19th at 7:00 pm at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
