Mike Morrison stopped 41 shots to earn his fourth shut-out of the season as the Sound Tigers defeated the Worcester Sharks 3-0 in the teams' last meeting at the Arena at Harbor Yard. Trevor Smith, Tim Jackman and Kyle Okposo each recorded a goal and an assist in the victory.

The Sound Tigers broke the scoreless 17:44 into the first period on a power-play. Okposo received a feed at the top of the left circle from Ben Walter and blasted the puck past Worcester goalie Thomas Greiss. The goal was Okposo's fifth of the season since joining the Sound Tigers in early January. Walter picked up his team-leading 28th assist of the season and Jackman had the assist on the power-play goal.

Jackman put the Sound Tigers up 2-0with about eight minutes remaining in the second period. Okposo brought the puck behind the Sharks' net and dropped a pass to Smith. Jackman was parked in the slot where Smith found him with a pass. Jackman

wristed the puck high over Greiss' glove for the goal, his fifth of the season.

In the third, Smith made it 3-0 in favor of the Sound Tigers with his sixth goal of the season. The University of New Hampshire graduate stole the puck off the stick of a Sharks' defender at the blue-line and came in alone on Greiss. Moving from his left to his

right, Smith waited long enough to make Greiss drop to the ice before sliding the puck underneath his pad on the back-hand, for his sixth goal of the season.

Morrison stopped all 41 Worcester shots he faced, while Greiss finished the game with 20 saves on 23 shots. The Sound Tigers finished 1-for-2 on the power play and 4-for-4 on the penalty-kill.

It's back to the road for the Sound Tigers as they travel north to Albany, N.Y. to face-off against the River Rats on Friday night at 7 p.m., before returning home to take on the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Saturday at 8 p.m. The Sound Tigers will take on the Hartford Wolf Pack on Sunday afternoon with the scheduled for 4 p.m.
