Syracuse, NY (February 13, 2008) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned defenseman Marc Methot to Syracuse.

Methot, 22, has appeared in 40 games with the Crunch this season, tallying 2 goals, 1 assist and 52 penalty minutes. He has also appeared in 8 games with Columbus this season, registering 6 penalty minutes. A native of Ottawa, Ontario, Methot was drafted by Columbus in the sixth round, 168th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
