The Manitoba Moose, the AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, announced they have signed goaltender Jeff Pietrasiak to a professional tryout contract.

Pietrasiak, 26, has appeared in 20 games with the Reading Royals (ECHL) so far this season, where he has posted a 10-9-1 record, a goals against average of 2.84, and a save percentage of .907. The Shrewsbury, MA native made his AHL debut with the Hershey Bears December 30th, 2006, stopping 41 of 45 shots to secure a 7-4 victory over the Norfolk Admirals. The game was Pietrasiak's only AHL game to date. In 55 career games with the University of New Hampshire Wildcats (NCAA), Pietrasiak has a record of 27-13-6, a goals against average of 2.19, and a save percentage of .921. He was selected by the Phoenix Coyotes in the sixth round, 186th overall, in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
