LOOKING AHEAD: After suffering its first regulation loss in 13 games on Friday night, Manitoba hits the road for three games leading up to the All-Star break, beginning in Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday.. The Moose have lost all three meetings with the Penguins this season, including one in overtime and one in a shootout... Drew MacIntyre has won his last five decisions in the Manitoba cage... Brad Moran sits seventh in the AHL in scoring with 51 points in 40 games... Wilkes-Barre is 8-2-1-2 against the North Division this season... Andrew Penner has won his last eight decisions in net for the Penguins, while Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers is 2-5-1 in his last eight... Kyle Brodziak has scored seven goals in Wilkes-Barre's last seven contests.
Hershey visits Philadelphia on Wednesday evening in the 124th all-time regular-season meeting between the rivals... The Bears have dropped four of their last five road contests overall, but are 5-0-2-1 in their last eight visits to Philly... Hershey is also 3-4-0-1 in January, the four regulation losses matching its total from October, November and December combined... The two clubs have been riddled by injuries to their goaltending corps... The Bears have added Nolan Schaefer on loan from the San Jose Sharks; Schaefer was 5-8-3 with a 2.80 GAA in 16 appearances for Worcester this season... Michael Leighton has joined the Phantoms; he went 8-6-1 (2.31) in 16 games for Portland earlier this season... Philadelphia enters the game eight points out of first place in the East Division.
Grand Rapids takes on the Americans at Rochester for a two-game set beginning Wednesday and continuing on Friday... The Amerks return home after a five-game road trip, going 4-1-0-0 and outscoring opponents 19-11... Rochester has also played nine of its last 10 games away from Blue Cross Arena, where they are 14-4-1-0 on the year... The Griffins, who have dropped the first two games of their four-game road trip, have had recent success against the North Division leading Amerks, winning their last three games and outscoring Rochester 11-3 during that stretch... If the season were to end today, Grand Rapids sits just one point out in the standings from facing the Americans in the first round of the 2007 Calder Cup Playoffs.
