Montreal Assigns Condon to Hamilton

WHEELING, WV- The Wheeling Nailers, proud ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Montreal Canadiens, have announced a transaction, which takes effect immediately. Montreal has assigned goaltender Mike Condon to the Hamilton Bulldogs.

Condon, 23, is playing in his first full season of professional hockey, after a four-year collegiate career at Princeton University and brief stints in both the ECHL and AHL in 2012-13. Thus far this season, Mike has performed tremendously for the Nailers, earning the start in 32 of the team's first 54 games, posting a 17-11-4 record, a 2.47 goals against average, and a .921 save percentage. During the month of November, the Holliston, MA native earned a pair of honors, as he was named ECHL Player of the Week, as well as ECHL Rookie of the Month. Condon has also appeared in three games with the Bulldogs, going 1-1-0, running his career record as a pro to 24-13-4 in 44 games.

The Hamilton Bulldogs have a pair of games on the docket for the weekend, as they play host to the Lake Erie Monsters on Friday night, before visiting the Toronto Marlies on Saturday afternoon.

The Nailers are in action on Friday night in Elmira, before returning to WesBanco Arena on Saturday at 7:00 to take on Reading. Wheeling is also at home on Sunday for a 3:00 face-off against Cincinnati.
