Countdown to Face-Off: Kalamazoo Wings at Fort Wayne Komets

Tonight will be the 10 meeting out of 14 between the Kalamazoo Wings and Fort Wayne Komets. Kalamazoo leads the season series with a record of 6-3-0-0; however, the K-Wings are 2-2-0-0 against the Komets at Allen County Memorial Coliseum with both of their victories occurring in overtime.

Hitting the road, Kalamazoo will begin a stretch of four straight games away from Wings Stadium. The K-Wings enter tonight first place in the North Division, one point ahead of the Cincinnati Cyclones, who sit in second place and two points ahead of the third place Komets.

After playing three straight on the road, the Komets are set to begin a brief two-game home stand. Besides trying to pull into a first place tie with Kalamazoo, Fort Wayne will also try to extend a streak. The Komets are unbeaten in regulation in their last five home games, earning a record of 2-0-2-1 during the stretch.
