Connecticut Whale News Release
New York, October 12, 2005 -- New York Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that forward Ryan Hollweg has been reassigned to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL) and goaltender Al Montoya has been recalled from Hartford (AHL).
Hollweg has skated in three games for the Rangers this season, collecting one assist and eight penalty minutes. From today's practice, goaltender Kevin Weekes sustained a mild groin strain and is out on a day-to-day basis.
The Pack have signed goaltender Bernd Bruckler to a Professional Try Out Agreement. The Austrian-born Bruckler played for the University Wisconsin last season, and attended the Wolf Pack's training camp this year on a try-out.
The Wolf Pack play their next game this coming Friday against the Springfield Falcons. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
