MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, announced on Monday that their charitable arm, the Monarchs Care Foundation, is teaming up with the City of Manchester Health Department to offer free H1N1 flu vaccines to all fans attending the Monarchs game on Saturday, January 23 when the team hosts the Norfolk Admirals at 7:00 p.m.
The free clinic will be located behind section 208 of the Verizon Wireless Arena from the time the doors open for the Monarchs game at 6:00 p.m. through the second period. The vaccine will be offered in both the shot form and nasal spray form and is available to all fans that are five years of age or older attending the game. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanies by a parent/guardian.
"The H1N1 virus is a concern for the citizens of Manchester and we want to give our fans the opportunity to receive the vaccine," explained Monarchs Senior Vice President Cheryl Abbott. "The City of Manchester Health Department has been gracious enough to provide everyone attending Saturday's game with the vaccine in the hopes of keeping Manchester and New Hampshire healthy."
