Portland, ME (January 18, 2010) - The Canadian AHL All-Stars defeated the PlanetUSA AHL All-Stars 18-12 tonight in the 2010 Ducks Unlimited AHL All-Star Skills Competition at the Cumberland County Civic Center.

Crunch center and PlanetUSA All-Star Dan Fritsche participated in the McDonald's Pass and Score and EA Sports NHL 10 Breakaway Relay. Fritsche and linemates Graham Mink of Rochester and Ivan Vishnevskiy of Texas converted on one of three opportunities on the McDonald's Pass and Score against Hamilton's Cedrick Desjardins, who was named the top goaltender in the event, stopping 16 of 20 shots. In addition, Fritsche was denied by Desjardins on his lone opportunity in the EA Sports NHL 10 Breakaway Relay.

Highlights from the rest of the 2010 Ducks Unlimited AHL All-Star Sills Competition included Hartford's Bobby Sanguinetti recording a record time of 13.677 seconds in the Reebok Fastest Skater competition and Norfolk's Blair Jones winning the Reebok Hardest Shot contest with a 100.7 mile-per-hour blast, good for the third hardest shot in the event's history.
