
Phantoms Announce New Upcoming Promotions

GLENS FALLS, NY - The Adirondack Phantoms, proud AHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, announced today a calendar of some new upcoming home game promotions, including Bash The Rats Night, Glens Falls National Bank Night, Dollar Dogs Night and the Scoville Most Romantic Moment Contest at the Glens Falls Civic Center.
Leading off is Round Eight of the Time Warner Cable Cup series with the Albany River Rats on Saturday, January 23rd at 7:00 pm at the Civic Center. Saturday is also Bash The Rats Night. Adirondack Broadcasting, including Froggy 107.1 FM and the Phantoms Flagship station Classic Hits Q-101.7 FM, have teamed up with the Phantoms, Jerry Brown's Auto Parts and Warren Tire to bring a Ratmobile to the plaza outside the Civic Center and for one dollar a swing, fans can BASH THE RATS, taking turns with a sledge hammer to demolish the Ratmobile. All money raised during Bash The Rats Night will be donated to the Tri-County United Way.
Friday, January 29th is Glens Falls National Bank Night as the Phantoms host the Binghamton Senators for a 7:30 pm face off. Fans visiting any Glens Falls National Bank branch between now and the 29th will receive a special coupon for a discounted $13 adult ticket to the game against Binghamton.
Saturday, January 30th is Dollar Dog Night as the Phantoms host the Norfolk Admirals at 7:00 pm. The Phantoms have teamed up with the Civic Center and Ovations to provide $1.00 hot dogs all night long and the Phantoms will be keeping a running tally of all hot dogs consumed during Dollar Dog Night.
Scoville Diamond Jewelers is running a special contest that will culminate on Sunday, February 14th as the Phantoms host the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at 3:00 pm. Scoville is searching for the Most Romantic Moment shared by a couple in the Adirondacks. Couples who believe that they have a winning story and want to become a contestant may send their Most Romantic Moment to Scoville Diamond Jewelers by Friday, January 22, 2010. Entries of 200 words or less can be submitted online via www.scovillejewelers.com/romantic/, mailed to Scoville Diamond Jewelers 167 Glens Street Glens Falls NY 12801, faxed to 518-793-0239 or can be dropped off in person at the store. The grand prize winner will receive a great gift package from area vendors valued at $1,500, including a $500 shopping spree from Scoville Diamond Jewelers. Starting February 1st the top 5 finalists will be announced and voting will begin in-store. The winner will be announced at the Phantoms game against the Penguins on Valentine's Day.
The Phantoms also have several giveaway nights coming up on the calendar, including 1,000 Kids Hockey Jerseys presented by Glens Falls Hospital Rehabilitation Center on March 5th vs. Rochester, 3,000 Johan Backlund Bobbleheads courtesy of Associates of Glens Falls on March 12th vs. Hershey and 2,000 limited edition Hall of Fame Hockey Card Sets on March 14th vs. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
