Impressive List Of Corporate Partners Involved With All-Star Classic

January 18, 2010 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Portland Pirates News Release

PORTLAND, MAINE... The Portland Pirates and the American Hockey League enter the 2010 Time Warner Cable AHL All-Star Classic with a long list of corporate partners for this year's showcase event.

Time Warner Cable serves as the title sponsor for the event, which takes place tomorrow (Monday) and Tuesday at the Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland, Maine. Ducks Unlimited will serve as the title sponsor of the 2010 Ducks Unlimited AHL All-Star Skills Competition on Monday beginning at 8 p.m.

The 2010 Time Warner Cable All-Star Classic will also feature the RBC Future Stars, eight Maine area players who will participate alongside American Hockey League All-Stars in select events during the skills competition, and their scores in those events will count toward the final outcome for the evening.

In addition to the support received from the corporate partners listed above, Reebok-CCM also plays a major role in the success of the All-Star Classic in outfitting the participants for both the Skills Competition and the All-Star Game.

The All-Star Game will be played Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the CCCC. Both events will be produced by the New England Sports Network (NESN) and televised live to more than 100 million households in North America. TSN will carry the All-Star Classic events coast to coast in Canada while the NHL Network will re-broadcast the game nationally in the US and Canada later this week (Friday, January 22nd).

The league's showcase event can also be seen this year on more than 20 regional networks in the United States, including Fox Sports on its Pittsburgh, Detroit, Ohio, Midwest, Houston, Southwest, Arizona and Northwest networks; on Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia, Chicago and California; the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN); America One; and Altitude Sports and Entertainment, which reaches views across 10 states in and around the Rocky Mountains. Time Warner Cable customers in Albany, Binghamton, Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse and Milwaukee will get to see the AHL All-Star Classic on their local Time Warner Cable Sports channel. Madison Square Garden Network will carry the event for its viewers throughout New York State and in parts of New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania, while fans in Florida will be able to catch it on Sun Sports. My Network TV in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. (WQMY-TV) will also air the event for fans in northeast Pennsylvania. Visit theahl.com for a complete schedule of stations and air times for the 2010 Time Warner Cable AHL All-Star Classic on the AHL All-Star TV Network.

"The Portland Pirates are thrilled to be hosting the 2010 Time Warner Cable AHL All-Star Classic," said Pirates Managing Owner/CEO Brian Petrovek. "This event would not be possible without the generous support of the Cumberland County Civic Center, the AHL and Portland Pirates corporate partners. We look forward to providing an event and fan experience that the City of Portland and the AHL will be proud of for years to come."
