Moose Notes
SIX-DAYS AWAY: The Manitoba Moose are embarking on their seventh road trip of the season where they will play three consecutive doubleheaders against the Hershey Bears, Worcester Sharks and Wilke-Barre/Scranton Penguins. The Moose are 9-8-2-0 on the road so far this season. Manitoba's most recent road trip brought two wins on Jan. 12 (4-3OTW) and Jan. 13 (3-0W) when visiting the Heat in Abbotsford. Over eight AHL seasons, the club's best road season was last year when they posted a 25-10-1-4 record (0.687). The Moose are currently on a two-game road winning streak - their longest this season.
UNLUCKY 13: By dropping back-to-back 7-2 and 6-2 losses to the Milwaukee Admirals last weekend, the Moose gave up 13 goals. This is only the second time in Manitoba's AHL history that they have given up 13 goals in consecutive games against the same opponent. The last time this happened was in 2001-02 when the Moose surrendered 13 goals to the St. John's Maple Leafs (February 8, 2-6L & February 10, 4-7L).
Upcoming Opponents
The Manitoba Moose are visiting Hershey for the first and only time this season to close-out their four-game regular season set with the Bears this weekend. Manitoba has yet to win a game against the Bears, holding a 0-1-0-1 record so far this campaign. The last time the Moose earned two points against the Bears was on June 9, 2009 in Game 5 of last year's Calder Cup Finals. Historically, Manitoba is 4-5-0-1 against their Pennsylvania opponents.

The next night, the veteran defenceman continued his points streak when he recorded his first-ever Moose goal in a 3-0 shutout victory over the Heat... His goal was the game-winner and he scored it on the powerplay... Despite suffering a 6-2 loss on Jan. 15 vs. Milwaukee, Schneider scored his second goal in as many nights, again on the powerplay, and finished the night with four shots...
