
Monarchs Sign Hymovitz; Announce Suspensions

MANCHESTER, NH â The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have signed left wing David Hymovitz to a professional tryout agreement, Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced on Friday.
Hymovitz, 30, has appeared in 80 games with the Richmond Riverdogs of the United Hockey League. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound native of Randolph, Massachusetts has 100 points (32-68=100) and 88 penalty minutes in the 80 games. Hymovitz, originally selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the ninth-round (209th overall) in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft, has also appeared in one game for the Binghamton Senators this season, recording no points and no penalty minutes.
Hymovitz has 163 points (73-90=163) in 353 career AHL games with the Senators, the Grand Rapids Griffins and the Lowell Lock Monsters. He will wear jersey No. 27 for the Monarchs.
Rullier, Nolan Suspended: The American Hockey League has suspended Monarchs defensemen Joe Rullier and Doug Nolan for their actions in the Monarchs 5-1 win over the Hartford Wolf Pack on Wednesday night.
Rullier received a two-game (2) suspension. He will miss Friday night's game against the Lowell Lock Monsters and Saturday night's game against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
Nolan received a one-game (1) suspension. He will miss Friday night's game against the Lock Monsters.
The Monarchs return to action when they host the Lowell Lock Monsters in the last 2004-05 regular season home game at the sold out Verizon Wireless Arena on Friday, April 15 at 7:35 p.m.
