Monarchs receive Jayce Hawryluk from Springfield and sign Giullaume Naud

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Manchester Monarchs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations, Rich Seeley, announced today that Jayce Hawryluk has been assigned to the Monarchs by the Springfield Thunderbirds (AHL) and Giullaume Naud has signed with the Monarchs.

The Monarchs are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Los Angeles Kings.

Hawryluk, 22, joins the Monarchs after playing in 62 games this season for the Springfield Thunderbirds, where he posted 10 goals and 26 assists for 36 points, while racking up 78 penalty minutes. In two seasons with the Thunderbirds, Hawryluk has racked up 19 goals and 43 assists for 62 points through 109 games.

The 5-foot-11, 185-pound native of Yorkton, Saskatchewan, was drafted in the second round, 32nd overall by the Florida Panthers in the 2014 NHL Draft. Hawryluk played four seasons for the Brandon Wheat Kings of the WHL before joining the Thunderbirds in 2016. With the Wheat Kings, Hawryluk racked up 119 goals and 159 assists for 278 points in 232 games played.

Naud, 25, joins the Monarchs for his second stint in the ECHL, after playing in nine games this season for the Greenville Swamp Rabbits. In those nine games, Naud notched one goal, while tacking on four penalty minutes.

The 6-foot-2, 207-pound native of Augsburg, Germany, played three seasons with Nipissing University of USports, before joining the Swamp Rabbits, where he racked up 59 games played to go along with nine goals and 22 assists for 31 points.

Hawryluk, Naud and the Monarchs are back in action Wednesday, Mar. 28 (7 p.m.), from Reading, Pa. when they take on the Reading Royals.
