Mavs Minutes

Pauly's Streak

Shawn Pauly has made a habit of lighting the lamp lately, tied for the longest goal-scoring streak in the ECHL at four games. In that span, the Bellingham, Washington native has found the back of the net six times to bring his year total to 24, the most on the Mavericks' roster.

Playoff Chase

The Mavericks are tied with the Kalamazoo Wings for the fourth and final playoff spot in the Central Division, both teams having played 66 games. Indy lurks just one point behind but is inactive until Friday against Kansas City. Both Indy and Kalamazoo own the tie break over Kansas City by virtue of having more regulation and overtime wins as three KC victories have come in shootouts this season.

Catching Komets

While Fort Wayne holds one of the best records in the ECHL, the Mavericks have held the Komets' number so far this season, entering tonight's game with a 4-1-0-0 record against Fort Wayne. After an 8-2 loss in the teams' first meeting of the season, the Mavericks have won four-straight against their Central Division foe ?" including a weekend sweep to kick start the month of March.

O'Brien's Debut

Brogan O'Brien made quite an impression in his first-career ECHL game, claiming an assist on the team's opening goal and then adding a short-handed score in the second period. O'Brien signed with the Mavericks last week out of WHL Prince George, where he was coached by former Mavericks bench boss Richard Matvichuk.

March of the Mavericks

The Mavericks have turned the page from a forgettable February with an impressive start to March, entering Wednesday's game with a record of 7-2-2-0 on the month to claw back into the thick of the playoff race. The Mavs have two games remaining in the third month of the calendar year, Wednesday night at Fort Wayne and Friday at Indy.
