
Mississippi Announces Top Players In November

BILOXI, Miss. â Mississippi Sea Wolves Professional Hockey announced today that left wing Pat O'Leary has been named the organization's Player of the Month for November, defenseman Brian Escobedo (ES-coh-bee-doh) is the Rookie of the Month, while Jason Wolfe takes the Goaltender of the Month honors.
In 11 November games, the Sea Wolves finished with a 3-6-2 record.
O'Leary, 25, tied for the team-lead with four goals and led the Sea Wolves with a plus/minus rating of +6. Through 10 games in November, O'Leary registered seven points highlighted by his first career hat trick on November 20 at Texas. The 6-foot-2 and 200-pound O'Leary attended the American Hockey League training camp of the Cleveland Barons in 2004. In his third season of professional hockey and first year with Mississippi, O'Leary was acquired in a trade with Pee Dee on November 3 for future considerations. A native of Plymouth, Minnesota, O'Leary was selected by the Phoenix Coyotes in the third round, 73rd overall, in 1998.
Escobedo, 22, collected three assists in six games and compiled a plus/minus rating of +2. The 6-foot and 180-pound Escobedo attended the American Hockey League training camp of the Binghamton Senators in 2004. A native of Bayside, New York, Escobedo signed as a free agent with Mississippi on November 16. Escobedo is in his first full season of professional hockey after beginning the 2004-05 campaign with Peoria of the ECHL.
Wolfe, 27, appeared in four November games, while posting a 2-2-0 record. The 6-foot-5 and 230-pound Wolfe compiled a 3.00 goals against average and .929 save percentage. A native of College Park, Maryland, Wolfe made 156 saves, an average of 39 per game, on 168 shots. Wolfe is in his third full pro season and first year with Mississippi, signing as a free agent on September 7.
Mississippi gets back into action at 7:05 p.m. on Friday against the Pensacola Ice Pilots at the Pensacola Civic Center. The puck drops for the Sea Wolves next home game at 7:35 p.m. on Saturday versus the Texas Wildcatters at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.

A pregame "Tailpipe Party" will take place at 6 p.m. outside the Mississippi Coast Coliseum featuring a performance by "Fox and the Hounds" while "Waiting For Brantley" will perform postgame. Other promotions for the game consist of $2 hotdogs and $2 drafts from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Saturday's game is also Harrison Central High School Night with a performance by the Harrison Central High School Band. In addition, it's Boy Scout Night with discounted group tickets available in advance only by calling (228) 275-WOLF.
