
Reading's Miles Named Reebok Hockey ECHL Plus Performer of the Month

PRINCETON, N.J. - Reading center Jeff Miles is the Reebok Hockey
ECHL Plus Performer of the Month, leading the ECHL with a plus-minus rating
of +11 in November.
Under contract to Manchester of the American Hockey League, the
23-year-old Miles was plus or even in the Royals last 10 games in November
and finished tied for the team lead with five goals and was second on the
team with 10 points in 11 games.
In his first full professional season, Miles had his first multiple goal
game (2g) and was +2 in a 5-0 win at Wheeling on November 7, the beginning
of Reading's team record nine-game winning streak. He had his second
multiple-point game (1g-1a) and was +2 in a 5-0 win against Wheeling on
November 12 and was +3 in a 7-1 win at Dayton on November 21.
After not registering a point in the first six games, the 6-0 and
188-pound Miles has scored 10 points (5g-5a) in his last eight games and is
tied for the team lead in goals (5), shorthand goals (1), shorthand assists
(1) and shorthand points (2). He leads the team in plus-minus rating (+10)
and is tied for third on the team in scoring.
Miles played four seasons at the University of Vermont where he scored 127
points (45g-82a) in 132 games, including a career-high 24 assists and 37
points in 33 games in 2003-04 after scoring a career-best 19 goals and 36
points in 35 games in 2002-03. He played four regular season games and two
playoff games with Norfolk of the American Hockey League in 2003-04.
