
\'Tis The Season For Players and Staff Appearances

San Diego Gulls News Release
SAN DIEGO â December has rolled around and the San Diego Gulls are busy as ever â on and off the ice. While the Gulls are looking to climb the West Division standings, they're also branching out in the community with numerous appearances.
Here's an updated list of some of the events the players and staff have attended:
Nov. 13: The Gulls' mascot and the Gulls Girls appeared at Embrace's Love & Live Youth Workshop. They joined kids during lunchtime to promote diversity in sports and the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
Nov. 23: Sean Murphy, Colin Shields and the mascot appeared at Oak Park Elementary School for the Parents' PLACE event. They spoke about the importance and values of a good education and took pictures and signed autographs for the kids.
Nov. 26: Trevor Koenig, Darren Clark and Jonathon Shockey appeared at the Play It Again Sports in Mira Mesa. They were on-hand for pictures and autographs.
Nov. 27: Gulls players appeared at Cheswick's West after the game against the Fresno Falcons.
Nov. 30: Chris Lynch and Max Birbraer appeared at Classic Rock 103.7 The Planet's second annual charity luncheon with Outback Steakhouse. This event helped raise money and awareness for The Monarch School of San Diego.
Here's a list of events that the Gulls will be participating in over the next few weeks. (There will be additions so make sure you check out the Gulls' web site (www.sandiegogulls.com) for updates.)
Dec. 1: The Gulls are holding a special "Skate with the Gulls in Winter Wonderland" at the San Diego Ice Arena.
Dec. 2: Mathieu Chouinard, Evgueni Nourislamov and the Gulls Girls are appearing at the Westfield Shopping Town Plaza Camino Real in Carlsbad. They will be on hand to sign autographs and promote the Gulls' Holiday Ticket Packages.
Dec. 2: Nick Ganga and Scott Borders are appearing at the Sunshine Company in Ocean Beach for the Ocean Beach Tree Holiday Auction. They will pass out prizes, do some of the auction calling and mingle with the guests.
Dec. 4: The Gulls' mascot is appearing at the Ocean Beach Tree Committee's Toy Run Fun Zone, helping kids decorate the Ocean Beach Christmas Tree.
Dec. 4: Gulls representatives are appearing at the Westfield Shopping Town Plaza Camino Real in Carlsbad. They will be on hand to sign autographs and promote the Gulls' Holiday Ticket Packages.
Dec. 4: Jonathon Shockey will sign autographs after the Gulls - Steelheads game and help promote the Gulls' Holiday Ticket Packages.
Dec. 6: Mike Garrow and Guillaume Fournier are appearing at the Arena Club for the "Help Just One" annual Christmas party. They will help hand out presents and food baskets to underprivileged children. They will also be on-hand for pictures and autographs.
Dec. 7: The Gulls' mascot is appearing at the Unity Tech Toy Drive Distribution event, located in Normal Heights, distributing toys to local individuals and families.
Dec. 7: Martin St. Amour, Mark Pederson, Trevor Koenig and Sylvain Deschatelets will appear at the 10th annual Shop With a Jock event, which took place at the Mervyns directly across the Sports Arena. Shop With A Jock is a yearly function, organized by the Junior Seau Foundation. Those participating will help underprivileged children shop for their holiday wish list.
Dec. 10: Gulls representatives are appearing at the Westfield Shopping Town Plaza Camino Real in Carlsbad. They will be on hand to sign autographs and promote the Gulls' Holiday Ticket Packages.
Dec. 10: Gulls players and coaches are appearing at Kristy's MVP for the inaugural "Women's Only" Hockey Clinic. Coaches Martin St. Amour and Jamie Black will give a Hockey 101 Chalk Talk and the players will showcase their equipment.
Dec. 11: Gulls representatives are appearing at the Westfield Shopping Town Plaza Camino Real in Carlsbad. They will be on hand to sign autographs and promote the Gulls' Holiday Ticket Packages.
Dec. 18: The Gulls' mascot will appear at the third annual Bikes For Kids Party, held in Poway. Each year hundreds of bikes are given away to orphaned and disadvantaged children in San Diego. All of the money raised for this event will go to the kids, in the form of bikes, helmets, food and funding for the party.
Dec. 18: Gulls representatives are appearing at the Westfield Shopping Town Plaza Camino Real in Carlsbad. They will be on hand to sign autographs and promote the Gulls' Holiday Ticket Packages.
Dec. 19: Gulls representatives are appearing at the Westfield Shopping Town Plaza Camino Real in Carlsbad. They will be on hand to sign autographs and promote the Gulls' Holiday Ticket Packages.
