San Antonio Missions News Release

OMAHA - Cory Spangenberg and Hernan Perez both collected four hits to lead an 18-hit attack as the Missions pounded the Storm Chasers 10-3 Friday night in the opener of a three game series at Werner Park.

Six different Mission hitters collected multiple hits as the club scored at least 10 runs for the 10th time this season while improving to 65-40 on the year.

Spangenberg's effort marked the fourth time this season that he had a four-hit night. He had gone nearly seven years prior since previously registering a quartet of hits in a game.

Miguel Sanchez (4-4) picked up the win in relief. Starting pitcher Aaron Wilkerson allowed one run but was lifted after four innings and 75 pitches.

Perez hit one of two Missions homeruns on the night and drove in four. It was the first time he knocked in that many runs since April 24, 2017, when he drove in four in a game for Milwaukee.

San Antonio has won all five games against Omaha since the all-star break. They've outscored the 'Chasers 46-21 over those five contests. They've plated 111 runs in 16 games since the PCL all-star break and have collected 72 extra base hits.

Right-handed reliever Devin Williams worked a scoreless eighth inning and recorded a strikeout in his Triple-A debut.
