
Missions Lose Series to RockHounds

MIDLAND--The Missions fell to 16 games under .500 for the first time since the end of the 2012 season Sunday night in front of 3,672 at Security Bank Ballpark.
A pair of critical San Antonio errors led to four unearned runs as the Missions fell to a league-worst 10-18 in one-run games. San Antonio has also lost 17 of 24 one-run decisions against the Rockhounds since last season.
Ronald Herrera made his Double-A debut for the Missions but lasted only four innings. Herrera was in trouble throughout his start and left allowing eight hits and four runs, two of which were unearned.
San Antonio has lost nine of its last 11 road games. They're on pace to finish the half 26-44. The 2002 first half squad was the last Missions team to lose that many in either half.
