Columbus went cold with the bats as they were held off the scoreboard in a 6-0 shutout at the hands of the Toledo Mud Hens at Fifth Third Field.

Toledo cracked the scoreboard first with an RBI single by Argenis Diaz in the bottom of the second. Kevin Russo then added to the Hens lead with an RBI sacrifice fly later that inning. The Mud Hens later scratched across another run with a Russo suicide squeeze in the bottom of the sixth.

Meanwhile, Columbus had a hard time figuring out Toledo lefty Pat Misch. Misch blanked the Clippers on four hits in six innings of work while striking out five and walking one.

The Hens tacked on another run on a Ben Guez RBI single in the bottom of the seventh. Later in the frame, Bryan Holaday augmented Toledo's lead with a two run double. The Clippers offense would continue to go quiet as they were shut out for only the fifth time this year. Misch (W, 2-3) picked up the win for the Mud Hens. T.J. House (L, 1-5) took the loss for Columbus.

The Clippers will travel south to start a four game series with the Gwinnett Braves. Columbus will send righty Trevor Bauer (2-2, 4.63) to the mound. The starter for the Braves has yet to be determined. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM.
