Minnesota Wild Signs Three Forwards to Two-Way Contracts

SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has signed forwards Zac Dalpe (pronounced DAL-pee) and Ruslan Fedotenko (pronounced roos-LAHN feh-doh-TEHN-koh) to one-year, two-way contracts and forward Marc Hagel (pronounced Hay-gull) to a two-year, two-way contract.

Dalpe, 25 (11/1/89), tallied three points (1-2=3) in 21 games with the Buffalo Sabres and 28 points (16-12() in 44 contests with the Rochester Americans in the American Hockey League (AHL) last season. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound native of Paris, Ontario, recorded seven points (4-3=7) in 55 games with the Vancouver Canucks in 2013-14 and owns 20 points (10-10 ) in 117 career NHL matches in parts of five seasons with Carolina, Vancouver and Buffalo. Dalpe has recorded 170 points (84-860) in 230 career AHL contests. He was originally selected by the Hurricanes in the second round (45th overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

Fedotenko, 36 (1/18/79), recorded three goals and six penalty minutes (PIM) in 13 games with the Iowa Wild in the American Hockey League (AHL) in 2014-15. The 6-foot-2, 195-pound native of Kiev, Ukraine, has totaled 366 points (173-19366) and 472 PIM in 863 career NHL games during parts of 12 NHL seasons with Philadelphia, Tampa Bay, the New York Islanders, Pittsburgh and the New York Rangers, adding 40 points (22-18@) and 65 PIM in 108 NHL playoff games during 10 NHL postseasons. Fedotenko scored the championship-winning goal to help Tampa Bay win the 2004 Stanley Cup and earned his second Stanley Cup title in 2009 with Pittsburgh. He last played in the NHL in 2012-13, recording 13 points (4-9) and 12 PIM in 47 games with Philadelphia. Fedotenko played two seasons (2012-14) in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL), totaling 35 points (15-205) and 64 PIM in 79 games with HK Donbass Donetsk.

Hagel, 26 (9/2/88), recorded 33 points (12-213), 36 penalty minutes (PIM) and a plus-1 rating in 67 games with the Iowa Wild in the American Hockey League in 2014-15. The 6-foot, 196-pound native of Hamilton, Ont., ranked second on the team in shots on goal (155), T-3rd in goals and fifth in scoring. He collected 15 points (8-7) in 46 games with Iowa and tallied 17 points (9-8) in 21 contests with the South Carolina Stingrays (ECHL) in 2013-14. Hagel notched 34 points (17-174) in 97 games at Princeton University (2008-12) where he graduated in 2012. He finished his NCAA career at Miami University (Ohio) after receiving medical redshirt eligibility as a result of playing in only three games during his junior season due to injury. Hagel recorded 19 points (6-13) and 37 PIM in 42 games with the RedHawks in 2012-13.
