Minnesota Wild Re-Signs Defenseman Nate Prosser to Two-Year Contract

SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has re-signed defenseman Nate Prosser to a two-year contract.

Prosser, 29 (5/7/86), tallied seven points (2-5=7) and 32 penalty minutes (PIM) in 63 games with Minnesota last season after he was claimed off waivers from the St. Louis Blues on Oct. 2, 2014. The 6-foot-2, 203-pound native of Elk River, Minn., set career highs in games played and shots (38) and ranked fourth on the team in blocked shots with 104. Prosser has totaled 28 points (5-23() and 159 PIM in 189 games during parts of six seasons with Minnesota. He has skated in 11 playoff games with the Wild and registered a plus-1 rating and 14 PIM. Prosser was originally signed as a free agent by Minnesota on March 18, 2010.
