
Minnesota Wild Signs Alex Tuch to Entry-Level Contract

SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has signed forward Alex Tuch (pronounced Tuck) to a three-year, entry-level contract starting with the 2016-17 season.
 Tuch, 19 (5/10/96), tallied 34 points (18-16=34), 33 penalty minutes (PIM) and a plus-23 rating in 40 games during his sophomore season at Boston College. He ranked third on the team in shots on goal (118), fourth in goals and sixth in scoring as the Eagles advanced to the NCAA Frozen Four. The Syracuse, N.Y., native recorded 28 points (14-14=28) in 37 games in 2014-15 and led the team in scoring and ranked second in goals and shots on goal (119). The 6-foot-4, 225-pound forward ranked T-5th in scoring amongst Hockey East freshmen and was named to the 2015 Hockey East All-Rookie Team.
 Tuch notched two points in five games for the United States at the 2015 World Junior Championship and won a gold medal with Team USA at the 2014 Under-18 World Championship, posting three assists in seven games. He was selected by Minnesota in the first round (18th overall) of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
