
Boucher, Blandisi Score in Albany Devils 2-1 Win against Binghamton Senators

ALBANY, NY - In their first game back from the NHL, Reid Boucher and Joseph Blandisi both scored in the Albany Devils, 2-1, victory against the Binghamton Senators Wednesday at Times Union Center. Boucher and Blandisi were two of 13 players in the Devils lineup who have played at least one NHL games this season.

The victory was Albany's 44th of the season and 26th at home - both already established franchise records. With just two regular season games remaining, the Devils improved to 44-20-8-2. The Senators, who were coming off back-to-back wins, moved to 29-37-6-1.
Boucher led all scorers with a goal and an assist, giving him 31 points (18g-13a) in 33 AHL games. Blandisi registered his 22nd point (8g-14a) in his 25 game. Mike Sislo registered an assist for his 53rd point (27g-25a).
Between the pipes, Scott Wedgewood posted his 13th win of the season and seventh win in his last nine appearances. He made 23 saves.
Boucher scored the Devils' eighth shorthanded goal of the season, going five hole on a breakaway at 5:06 of the first period. Blandisi made it a 2-0 score, banging in a rebound at the top of the crease at 12:59 of the second.
Wedgewood's shutout bid was spoiled while playing four-on-four. Ben Harpur's seeing-eye point shot found the back of the net at 8:09 of the third period. The goal was Binghamton first tally at Times Union Center since Oct. 25, 2015, going 209:44 between goals.
