IceCaps to Hold Annual Fan Appreciation Weekend

ST. JOHN'S, NL - As a thank-you to their supportive fans, the St. John's IceCaps will give away a wide array of fantastic prizes during Fan Appreciation Weekend Friday and Saturday at Mile One Centre.

Prizes will be drawn randomly and awarded during Friday and Saturday night's season-ending games versus the Hartford Wold Pack. The IceCaps wear also wear special Sport NL jerseys Friday night - as the team honours the newest members of the Newfoundland and Labrador Sports Hall of Fame - and will present player awards Saturday night.

Hardware to be handed out prior to Saturday's game include: Top Defenceman, Hardest-Working Player, Statoil Community Man-of -the-Year, Molson Cup, Rookie-of-the-Year, Most Valuable Player and Fans Choice awards. A text vote will be held during the game Saturday night to determine the latter award. Fans can text their support for Fans Choice finalists Zach Fucale, Morgan Ellis, Brandon McNally or Eddie Pasquale. Text numbers will be announced in-game Saturday evening. One lucky voter will get to meet the winning player after the game.

Prize giveaways include:

- Four barbeques courtesy of The Home Depot

- IceCaps Paddy's Day and Royal Newfoundland Regiment Game-Worn Jerseys

- Limited Edition Buddy the Puffin/Bell Aliant bobbleheads

- Autographed IceCaps sticks

- Autographed IceCaps photos

- Glendenning driving range passes

- IceCaps clothing

- Old Dutch potato chips

IceCaps Alley will also salute fans by offering 25 percent off all merchandise except for replica or Royal Newfoundland Regiment jerseys.
