Minnesota Wild Recalls Mike Reilly from Iowa

SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled defenseman Mike Reilly from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).

    Reilly, 22 (7/13/93), has collected 18 points (5-13=18) including three power-play goals in 32 games with Iowa this season. He ranks tied for first on the team in power-play goals, second in scoring and assists, fourth in shots on goal (65) and his point total ranks fourth amongst AHL rookie defensemen. The 6-foot-2, 191-pound blueliner collected 42 points (6-36=42) in 39 games during his junior season at the University of Minnesota in 2014-15. He was named a Hobey Baker Memorial Award Finalist and led NCAA defensemen in scoring and assists. Reilly also led the NCAA with 19 power-play assists and ranked tied for third in the nation with 21 power-play points (2-19=21) and tied for eighth with a plus-25 rating. He helped the United States win a bronze medal at the 2015 World Championship recording one assist in 10 games. Reilly was signed by the Wild as a free agent on July 1, 2015 and has not appeared in an NHL game. He will wear sweater No. 4 with Minnesota.

    Minnesota plays at Dallas Saturday at 7 p.m. on FOX Sports North and KFAN 100.3 FM before hosting the New Jerseys Devils Sunday at 7 p.m. on NBCSN and KFAN 100.3 FM.
