Minnesota Recalls Olofsson from Iowa

DES MOINES, IA - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher announced on Tuesday the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled defenseman Gustav Olofsson from the Iowa Wild, Minnesota's American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate. In addition, Iowa Wild General Manager Brent Flahr announced defenseman Dyaln Labbe has been recalled from the Quad City Mallards, Iowa's ECHL affiliate.

Olofsson, 22 (12/1/94), has recorded 22 points (5-1722) in 48 games with Iowa this season. He ranks T-2nd on the team in assists and leads team defensemen and ranks T-4th on Iowa in scoring. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound native of Boras, Sweden, has registered two assists and 13 blocked shots in eight games with Minnesota this season, including his first career NHL points with two assists on Feb. 12 vs. Detroit. Olofsson owns two assists in 10 career NHL games with Minnesota and has collected 40 points (8-3240) in 109 career AHL games. He was selected by the Wild in the second round (46th overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
