
IceCaps Sign Forward Guillaume Asselin

ST. JOHN'S, NL - Montreal Canadiens and St. John's IceCaps General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today the IceCaps have signed forward Guillaume Asselin to a one-year AHL/ECHL contract.
The 24-year-old, Quebec City native just completed a four-year stint with the University of Quebec at Trois Rivieres of the Ontario University Athletics conference. Asselin's only previous professional experience came in 2013-14 when he skated in 11 games with Greenville of the ECHL. The five-foot-11, 194-pounder will report to the Canadiens' ECHL affiliate - the Brampton Beast - tomorrow.
