The Wolf Pack (21-32-3-2, 47 pts., .405) completed a four-game homestand this week, defeating the Springfield Thunderbirds in overtime, 4-3, on Wednesday night, but then dropping back-to-back matinees at the XL Center. The Lehigh Valley Phantoms pulled out a 3-1 win over the Wolf Pack on Saturday, and then the Eastern Conference-leading Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins downed the Pack by a score of 6-3 on Sunday afternoon. Matt Carey scored in all three games for Hartford, extending a goal-scoring streak to a team season-high four games (4-1-5), and Nicklas Jensen netted his 24th and 25th goals of the season in Sunday's game.

This week:

The Wolf Pack start a stretch of six straight road games with a three-game weekend. The Pack get a rematch with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Friday night in Wilkes-Barre, with faceoff at 7:05 PM, and then travel to Springfield on Saturday night for another 7:05 tilt. The weekend concludes with a 3:00 game Sunday at Bridgeport.

Friday, March 10 at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (Pittsburgh) at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza, 7:05 PM

- Defenseman David Warsofsky and centerman Jean-Sebastien Dea had two goals and an assist apiece for the Penguins in Sunday's 6-3 win vs. the Wolf Pack at the XL Center.

- The defeat to the Penguins Sunday dropped the Wolf Pack's record to 0-5-0-0 vs. the Eastern Conference leaders on the season. In two previous trips to Wilkes-Barre, the Wolf Pack lost 6-2 on October 15 and 3-2 on January 3.

- The Penguins have won two of their last three games, after a season-high four-game losing streak.

Saturday, March 11 at the Springfield Thunderbirds (Florida) at the MassMutual Center, 7:05 PM

- This is the eighth of ten meetings on the year between the Wolf Pack and their I-91 rivals, and the Wolf Pack are 3-4-0-0 in the season series after Wednesday's 4-3 overtime win in Hartford. The Pack are 1-2-0-0 in their three previous road games vs. the Thunderbirds.

- After stringing together a season-high five-game win streak from February 17-25, Springfield is 0-3-1-0 in its last four games.

- Defenseman Reece Scarlett, a trade-deadline acquisition by the parent Florida Panthers from New Jersey, scored in his first game in a Thunderbird uniform Friday night vs. Lehigh Valley.

Sunday, March 12 at the Bridgeport Sound Tigers (Islanders) at the Webster Bank Arena, 3:00 PM

- The Sound Tigers, who won 15 out of 16 games from January 15 through February 19, have won only two of their six outings since that run (2-3-1-0).

- Bridgeport defenseman Ryan Pulock (12-19-31 in 36 GP) comes into the week on a seven-game point-scoring streak, with two goals and seven assists for nine points over that span.

- The Wolf Pack are 1-2-1-1 thus far on the year vs. their Nutmeg State adversaries, and have gained three out of possible four points in their two other visits to the Webster Bank Arena this season. The Wolf Pack defeated the Sound Tigers 5-2 on December 26 in Bridgeport and lost 3-2 in a shootout in the teams' last get-together January 27.

Pack Tracks:

The Wolf Pack's next home game is Friday, March 24, when the Providence Bruins come to the XL Center for a 7:15 PM game. That night features $1 hot dogs and $2 beers through the start of the second period, and March 24 is also "Social Media Night" at the XL Center. Fans are encouraged to bring their smart phones to the game and give the Wolf Pack a follow. The Wolf Pack will be giving away cool prizes and interacting with fans on social media throughout the game.

On Saturday, March 25, when the Wolf Pack host the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in a 7:00 PM game, the first 2,000 fans receive a free Wolf Pack jersey drawstring backpack, sponsored by ProHealth.

The last Wolf Pack "Click It or Ticket Family Value Pack" game of the season is Sunday, March 26, when the Wolf Pack host the Providence Bruins in a 5:00 PM game. The Family Value Pack includes two tickets, two sodas and two hot dogs, all for just $40.

At every Sunday Wolf Pack home game, the first 2,000 fans receive a "hockey bingo" card. The spaces on these cards contain possibilities that might happen in the game, and if they do, fans can fill in the spaces to win Wolf Pack bingo prizes. The last Sunday Wolf Pack home date is March 26, a 5:00 PM game vs. the Providence Bruins.
