
Minnesota Recalls Blum and Veilleux

Des Moines, IA - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher announced on Sunday, the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled defenseman Jonathon Blum and forward Stephane Veilleux from the Iowa Wild, Minnesota's American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate.
Blum, 25 (1/30/89), has skated in four games with Minnesota this season and collected 29 points (7-2229), including six power-play goals in 54 games with Iowa. The 6-foot-1, 188-pound native of Long Beach, Calif., has recorded 22 points (7-1522) and 20 penalty minutes (PIM) in 95 career NHL games with Nashville and Minnesota. He was originally selected by the Predators in the first round (23rd overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. Blum was signed as a free agent by Minnesota on July 12, 2013.
Veilleux, 32 (11/16/81), has tallied two goals and 19 penalty PIM in 27 games with Minnesota this season and 14 points (5-914) and 33 PIM in 34 games with Iowa. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound native of St. Georges de Beauce, Que., owns 103 points (48-55103) and 336 PIM in 487 career games during nine NHL seasons with Minnesota, Tampa Bay and New Jersey. He ranks fifth in franchise history in hits (426), eighth in games played (408), 10th in PIM (288) and 11th in shots (581). Veilleux was originally selected by Minnesota in the third round (93rd overall) of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
Iowa closes out its six-game stand with Charlotte on Tuesday at 5:35 P.M. and Wednesday at 7:05 P.M. The game is a $2 Tuesday, where fans can purchase any level ticket with a $2 discount. 200 Level seats will be available for $2 to the first 200 fans to purchase upper level seats. Patrons will also be able to purchase $2 sodas, $2 popcorns, and $2 10-ounce domestic drafts (21 and older) - through the first period of play. Also, select merchandise items will be available for only $2. Taco John's will also provide a Taco coupon to every fan on their way into the game and if the team scores four goals each fan will receive an additional coupon upon exiting. The team continues a six-game homestand on Tuesday, Mar. 25 at 5:35 p.m. against the Charlotte Checkers. The Wild also closes out its six-game stand with the Checkers on Wednesday at 7:05 P.M. On Wednesday, fans that bring a Subway receipt to the Wells Fargo Arena box office may purchase a ticket for $5.
