Mink Named WPC Player of the Month

The Peoria Rivermen announced today that winger Graham Mink has been named the World Painting Company Player of the Month for October. Over the 10 games in October, Mink scored four times, and added eight assists while he finished the month with plus-5 rating.

Mink was named the AHL Player of the Week on Oct. 17 after he collected nine points (two goals, seven assists) over a four-game stretch. He currently leads the Rivermen in points (13), assists (9), penalty minutes (44) and power-play assists (5). He opened the season with a pair of goals against the Manitoba Moose on Oct. 8 and finished the month with four multi-point games.

A six-time 20-goal scorer, a two-time Calder Cup champion and an AHL All-Star team captain in 2010, Mink has totaled 207 goals and 207 assists for 414 points in 581 career AHL games with Peoria, Rochester, Hershey, Worcester and Portland. The native of Stowe, Vt., was acquired by the St. Louis Blues in a trade from Florida on Aug. 3, 2010.
