December 7, 2009 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Hershey Bears News Release

The HERSHEY BEARS Hockey Club will play Graham Mink and the Rochester Americans at home this Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. The game marks the first time since last year's Calder Cup championship that Mink will face his former teammates. Rochester is in first place in the North Division as play begins this week as well.

Saturday's game with the Amerks is HERSHEY'S only home game this week. Tickets are on sale now at the Giant Center box office or by calling (717) 534-3911.

A heaping helping of Hartford: The BEARS crushed the Hartford Wolf Pack 9-2 Sunday at Giant Center, marking the most goals that HERSHEY has scored in a single game so far in 2009-10. Coupled with a 6-0 win in Hartford on October 30, the BEARS outscored the Wolf Pack 15-2 in the two-game season series.

Bourque returns: Left wing and two-time Calder Cup champion Chris Bourque returned to HERSHEY Saturday after being claimed off waivers from Pittsburgh. The Boston, MA native scored two goals, including the third period game- winner on Saturday night in his 2009-10 BEARS debut.

Practice schedule: HERSHEY will skate at Giant Center Tuesday and Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. The players and coaches are available for interviews after practice both days. The BEARS will skate briefly Thursday morning at Giant Center before departing for Albany.

Morgan scores on Sunday: Gavin Morgan scored a short- handed goal for the BEARS Sunday against Hartford. Before Sunday, Morgan had not scored a goal for HERSHEY since he struck for 10 during the 2003-04 season. Just 24 hours earlier, Morgan had switched uniform numbers from 17 to 26 to allow Chris Bourque to resume wearing the number he wore during his previous HERSHEY tenure.

Washington update: The Capitals crushed the Philadelphia Flyers Saturday night 8-2 at the Wachovia Center, more than spoiling the head coaching debut of Peter Laviolette. Tomas Fleischmann and Mike Green each scored a pair of goals to pace the Red, White and Blue attack. Washington is in Tampa Bay Monday to play the Lightning at the St. Pete Times Forum in advance of playing in Buffalo Wednesday night.
