Milwaukee Admirals News Release

Milwaukee Admirals Executive Vice President/General Manager Phil Wittliff announced today that the club has signed defenseman Brad Tiley (TIE-lee) for the remainder of the 2003-04 American Hockey League season. The Admirals originally signed Tiley to a 25-game contract on October 22, 2003.

Tiley was the AHL's Defenseman of the Year in 1999-2000 and has also been in two AHL All-Star Games as a member of the Canadian AHL All-Stars. Tiley returned to the ice with the Philadelphia Phantoms last season after missing the final two months of the 2001-02 season due to a broken leg.

The 6'1", 200 pounder scored 36 points (8g-28a) in 79 games with the Phantoms last season after scoring 21 points (6g-15a) in 56 games during his injury-shortened 2001-02 campaign.

"The addition of Brad Tiley for the 2003-04 makes us a better team," said Wittliff. "He is a veteran defenseman who will provide leadership and mentor our younger players."

The 32 year old, Markdale, Ontario native has three points (2g-1a), including a power play goal, in nine games this season.

Tiley has seen action in 11 National Hockey League games with the Phoenix Coyotes and the Philadelphia Flyers. He was a fourth round NHL Entry Draft pick of the Boston Bruins in 1991.
