Sioux Falls Canaries News Release

Franklin, WI - The Milwaukee Milkmen got a masterful performance from their bullpen on Friday, with four relievers combining to allow just one baserunner and surrendered no hits as the Canaries fell 4-2 at Franklin Field.

Milwaukee got on the board first with a two-run double in the second inning and would go on to add an RBI single later in the frame. Ozzie Martinez got a run back in the top of the third with an RBI base hit and Kona Quiggle made it a 3-2 game with a sacrifice fly an inning later.

But the Milkmen produced another run-scoring hit in their half of the fourth inning and Sioux Falls would go hitless the rest of the way. Nick Gotta finished with two of the Birds' seven hits as the Canaries drop to 31-52 overall. The two teams will play again Saturday night at 6:00pm.
