Mighty Ducks sign right wing Lee Jacobson

CINCINNATI, Ohio -- The Cincinnati Mighty Ducks signed right wing Lee Jacobson to a pro tryout contract on Tuesday.

Jacobson, 23, has appeared in 22 games with ECHL Mississippi this season, going scoreless with 91 penalty minutes, including a league-leading 15 major penalties.

Jacobson did not play professionally last season. He had one goal and eight assists with 273 penalty minutes in 64 games with CHL Fort Worth in 2002-03 in his first professional season.

A native of Chicago, Illinois, the 6-foot-4, 230-pounder has a perfect 6-0 record as an amateur boxer.

Jacobson will be available to make his AHL debut Wednesday when the Ducks face the Hamilton Bulldogs at 7:35 p.m. at Cincinnati Gardens.
